Founded out of the IPA research lab at the University of Washington, Namatad, Inc. is agile, forward-thinking, and dedicated to its mission to inform, connect, and protect those who protect us all.

Our Team

  • Matt Tolentino, Ph.D.

    Founder and CEO
    Ph.D. Computer Science

    Dr. Tolentino is currently an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the School of Engineering and Technology and leads the Intelligent Platforms & Architecture Research Lab at UW in Tacoma, WA. He joined the faculty full-time in 2015 after spending 15 years as a Research Scientist and Architect at Intel Corporation as well as several early-stage startups. Dr. Tolentino founded Namatad, Inc. to commercialize his research to improve firefighter safety during fire response operations. Dr. Tolentino is a veteran of the US Navy, having served in the Secretariat of the Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) and Department of Navy Organization, Management, and Infrastructure Team (DONOMIT), both at the Pentagon in Washington DC.

  • Alex Boyle

    Lead Software Engineer
    B.S. Computer Engineering & Computer Science

    Mr. Boyle is a graduate of the CE and CS program at University of Washington where he has spent the last two years actively leading the development and validation of the FIREFLY Server and Visualization platform in the IPA Research Lab. Alex has extensive experience in all components of the FIREFLY system, including device firmware, server, and visualization application, and actively develops and integrates new features across the entire system.

  • Tatiana Linardopoulou

    Technical Program Manager
    B.S. Computer Science & Systems
    B.A. Psychology

    Ms. Linardopoulou joined Namatad, Inc. as a Software Development intern in 2020, during which she contributed to several key parts of the FIREFLY system. She joined the company full time as a Technical Program Manager immediately after graduation and helped develop Namatad’s ATAK integration project. Tatiana now leads and manages several software and web development projects relating to the FIREFLY platform and Namatad ATAK visualization plug-ins.

  • Robert Beltran

    Software Engineer
    B.S. Computer Science & Systems

    Mr. Beltran joined Namatad, Inc. as an intern in 2021 and 2022. He contributed to the development of FIREFLY device enclosures as well as system testing and validation. Upon completion of his degree, Robert joined Namatad, Inc. full time as a Software Development Engineer. He currently handles ATAK plug-in development as well as device and system validation.
