Dr. Tolentino is a Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at UW in Tacoma, WA. Before UW he spent 15 years as a Research Scientist and Architect at Intel Corporation as well as several early-stage startups. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He founded Namatad to ensure his research to improve firefighter safety during fire response operations was brought to the market to save lives.

Tatiana joined Namatad as a software development intern in 2020, later moving into a full-time technical program management role and helping lead software and ATAK integration projects.
