FIREFLY ONBOARDING

Set up FIREFLY with your department.

Start with the software base: firefighter phones connect to a department account on the FIREFLY platform. Your team can review how shift check-in, incident visibility, critical event tracking, review, and analytics work before adding CAD, NERIS, CANAIRY, or FIREFLY tag integrations.

App access and onboarding

The public FIREFLY app listing is not live yet. Departments can still get started and coordinate app access with Namatad during onboarding.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps to get FIREFLY running in your department

Create a department account

A department owner sets up the organization, invites the right users, and chooses the initial workflow profile.

Install the firefighter app

Firefighters install the FIREFLY app on the phone they already carry. The mobile experience is designed to work with the department account.

Connect at the start of shift

Teams open the app and connect during active shifts. The base setup works without new hardware.

INCLUDED

What your department can evaluate

The setup is meant to be practical, not theoretical. You can use the app and platform to evaluate the core workflow with app-connected personnel, incident records, critical events, review, analytics, and platform access.

Incident visibility

View active and completed incidents from the FIREFLY platform.

Personnel accountability

Connect firefighter participation and operational context to incident records.

Critical event timeline

Track commander-reported events such as water on fire, mayday activity, patient care events, and other department-defined milestones.

Review and analytics

Use the operational record for after-action review, trend analysis, training, and leadership reporting.

WHAT COMES NEXT

CAD and NERIS connections are available when you are ready

Deeper integrations require coordination with your department, your CAD provider, and your reporting process.

CAD integration

The base setup can run without CAD integration. To automatically create incidents from dispatch activity, your department or CAD provider connects to FIREFLY endpoints.

NERIS connections

FIREFLY helps organize incident data. Filing NERIS reports and using AI-assisted report completion requires setup of NERIS workflows and department review rules.

Optional hardware

Departments can add CANAIRY sensors for exposure monitoring or FIREFLY tags for finer-grained location fidelity when they are ready.
